Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Printing Guidelines

  • DTG is a digital printing method that produces a soft, vintage-style print
  • Best suited for cotton or cotton-blend garments
  • Not recommended for 100% polyester or synthetic fabrics
  • Results may vary depending on garment type
  • Color matching is not available for DTG printing
  • Dark garments require a pretreatment for white ink underbase
  • Pretreatment residue disappears after the first wash

Samples

  • Samples are available at cost for initial output review
  • Samples are non-refundable
  • Samples may be included in a bulk order at the bulk rate
  • Changes to completed samples may require additional setup costs
  • Sample costs may be credited toward bulk orders at BCCO NYC’s discretion

Embroidery Guidelines

  • Embroidery results will differ from digital artwork
  • Small text is not recommended due to legibility limitations
  • Color matching requires Pantone reference and may incur a fee
  • Stock thread colors are used and matched as closely as possible
  • Maximum of 8 thread colors per logo

Order Pickup & Delivery

  • BCCO NYC is a pickup-based facility unless shipping is requested
  • Minimum Manhattan delivery charge: $25
  • Clients have 30 days to report any production errors
  • Errors reported within 30 days will be reviewed and corrected upon approval

Unclaimed Orders:

  • Orders are held for 14 business days
  • After 14 business days, BCCO NYC is not responsible for unclaimed items

Turnaround Time

Production begins once payment is received in full and all required information has been approved, including:

  • Final artwork
  • Approved specifications
  • Approved mockups or samples
  • Shipping or pickup details

Our standard turnaround time is 5–10 business days, excluding shipping.
Complex orders, add-ons, delayed approvals, or finishing services may extend production time.

Artwork & Color Accuracy

  • Screen colors vary between devices
  • Pantone Solid Coated references allow for the most accurate color matching
  • DTG prints do not include guaranteed color matching
  • DTG prints may have up to a ¼-inch margin of error due to pallet movement

Order Approval & Changes

  • Processing an invoice confirms acceptance of the print method listed
  • Once production begins, no changes can be made
  • Customers are responsible for approving all mockups and samples
  • Approval based on photos is accepted, but final results may vary

Under no circumstances can BCCO NYC reprocess, refund, or replace orders that were approved and completed.

Customer-Provided Garments

  • Garments must be new, clean, and undamaged
  • Provided items may only be dropped off after invoice payment
  • In the event of a misprint, only the printing cost is credited
  • BCCO NYC does not reimburse or replace client-supplied garments

Rush Orders & Deadlines

  • Deadlines must be communicated before placing an order
  • Rush fees may apply if timelines fall outside standard production
  • Same-day rush quotes are valid for 1 hour only
  • Other rush quotes are valid through the end of the business day
  • Delays outside of BCCO NYC’s control (weather, shipping issues, etc.) are not included in turnaround estimates

Quality Assurance

Slight variations in image placement are normal due to hand production. Exact positioning on every garment cannot be guaranteed.

Errors must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order.
We are not responsible for items that have already been sold or distributed.

Storage & Abandonment

  • BCCO NYC is not responsible for items left longer than 45 days
  • Unclaimed goods may be donated after this period
  • Agreement to these terms applies to all future transactions
